I feel like this could be a real life photo of me being clumsy!
Removing wine stains is easier than you think!
Do you prefer red wine or white?
Red Wine:
Sprinkle the stain with a lot of salt to absorb the wine then rinse with cool water.
*If it's on clothes:
If the salt and cool water did not work or a stain still lingers then apply an undiluted neutral detergent such as Tide directly onto the stain then launder with cool water.
White Wine:
If you are able to launder a white wine spill before it has a chance to dry then you have the greatest chance of removing the stain. Rinse the spill immediately the apply an undiluted neutral detergent such as Tide directly onto the spill with a few drops of white vinegar. Rinse then launder in warm water.
On Rugs and Carpet:
Immediately cover the spill with a generous amount of salt. Allow it to dry then vacuum.
In a Pinch:
If the stain is already dried on washable fabric, pour club soda through the spot then launder as described earlier.
Avoid Vinegar on These Fabrics:
Cotten, Linen, Rayon and Acetate
